In the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic, Roth realised the largest new construction project in its history to expand production capacity. A look back at the construction and first months of operation.
Thanks to our great quality awareness and our personal service, in recent years we have grown continuously, expanded our machinery and extended our services. Little by little, we reached our spatial limits at our headquarters in Solothurn.
We were therefore very pleased to break ground on our new production building in March 2020. After a construction period of just over a year, we were able to put our modern new building into operation this spring. Visually, it combines perfectly with the traditional main building, thus skilfully building a bridge between our roots and the future.

With the commissioning of our new building, we have also equipped all machines with oil cooling and an extraction system for oil mist. This protects both our machines and the health of our employees.
Positive experiences in the company
After the first few months, our experience with the building so far has been very good: The employees appreciate the modern infrastructure and the process-optimised layout. The additional space also facilitates the further expansion of our production capacity. The building’s high energy efficiency is also impressive: It significantly optimises our resource consumption. We do not yet know the effect that the upcoming winter half-year will have but are confident that we will be able to operate the building in an energy-efficient manner even in the cold months.
