Capacity expansion for highly complex turned parts
Published on 20 October 2022

Roth procures another CNC automatic lathe. Miyano’s BNE-51 SY6 enables simultaneous machining and shorter cycles of highly complex turned and milled parts. Thus, Roth customers benefit from shorter delivery times.

As a company that attaches great importance to short-term and fast execution of orders, we depend on efficient production machines. Our machinery includes CNC automatic lathes from the Japanese manufacturer Miyano. These machines impressed us with their high productivity and short cycles. That’s why we ordered another BNE-51 SY6. The commissioning of the new automatic lathe will take place this month.

Highly complex parts

The high-precision flexible Miyano BNE-51 SY6 has eight axes and two turrets. It allows simultaneous machining with a passage of up to ø51 mm and is equipped with a 3 m bar loading system. This means that productivity is several times higher compared to other automatic lathes. In total, 24 driven tools can be operated in the machining centre. This additional automatic lathe will expand our production capacity for the manufacture of highly complex milled and turned parts for medical technology and other industries. In future, we will be able to handle a larger volume of orders accordingly and ensure even more short-term deliveries.

Simple operation

Since we already use CNC automatic lathes from Miyano, our polymechanics and turners are very familiar with the operation of the machine. They will be able to start using the machine productively directly after completing setting, adjustment and calibration. Even new production employees can work efficiently with the automatic lathe after a short period, as it has an extremely intuitive Fanuc control system.

This expansion of our capacity ensures that we remain the best partner of existing as well as new customers for high-precision, highly complex parts and that we can also deliver at short notice.
